Daniel Heier holds a Bachelor Degree in Percussion Performance from McNally Smith College of Music. As a member of the 147th Army Band, he is an accomplished performer in classical, jazz and commercial music. Throughout his education, Heier has studied under percussion greats such as David Stanoch, Marv Dahlgren, Kevin Washington, Gordy Knudtson, David Schmalenberger, and Chack Wackerman. He is a freelance performer through the Midwest, having performed with acts such as Anna Johnson, Phil Mattson, Matt Wallace, and others as well as his own pop-reggae band, Small Town Anthem.
