Aldo Mazza

In this 25-minute video interview with KoSA Music founder, Aldo Mazza, I spoke with Aldo about how he got into music, playing drums and percussion, and launching his non-profit KoSA International Percussion Workshops and Festivals.

Aldo Mazza is an internationally-recognized drummer-percussionist, recording artist, clinician, and educator. He received his Bachelor of Music in Percussion, with a minor in Jazz Performance, at McGill University, did graduate work in Ethnomusicology at Université de Montréal, as well as intensive private and summer study programs at Banff, Eastman School of Music, Jamey Aebersold, National Stage Band Camps, and Drummers Collective (New York).

Aldo's performance achievements include four world tours, international touring and recording member of Répercussion, numerous radio and television appearances, live CBC/Radio Canada recordings, and special concerts for many dignitaries including US. Presidents and Canadian Prime Ministers. Aldo appears on over 100 CDs with artists such as Celine Dion, Aldo Nova, James Brown, Chris DeBurgh, David Amran, Alain Caron as well as major symphony orchestras including the Montreal Symphony, SMCQ (Quebec Contemporary Music Organization), and Jazz Festivals including the Montreal Jazz Festival,Hong Kong Arts Festival, and other world class events, and is a master clinician in Classical Percussion, World Music and Drumset.
