Percussive Arts SocietyThe 2005 Percussive Arts Society International Convention (PASIC), held in Columbus, Ohio was the 30th PASIC!

The Percussive Arts Society has a long history in Columbus, starting with early issues of Percussive Notes being written and edited there, to the 2005 PASIC, the fourth PASIC to be hosted in Columbus.

As part of this four-day celebration, attendees witnessed clinics, master classes, presentations, and concerts by many of the world’s finest percussionists. And you’ll be exposed to a virtual cornucopia of music styles. This particular year was special because it was the very first year for the Drummer Cafe to have a booth in the Exhibit Hall. As you can see from the video footage, it was an exciting time had by all. Not only did we get to see/hear some great music and musicians, but we were able to experience one of the largest drum/percussion gatherings in the world.

Besides the video footage of the Exhibit Hall, shot from the Drummer Cafe booth, I also visited with several companies offering new and unusual products, including Circular Science and the RESOTUNE drum tuner, Passaris Percussion and their RhythMark practice pad, and Aspen Drum Company.
