Johnny Rabb

Johnny Rabb, born February 29, 1972 in Fairfax, VA, is an American drummer, author, inventor, and instructor. Rabb is the first person to break 1,000 single strokes in 60 seconds by playing 1,071 single strokes, claiming the title of World's Fastest Hands and recognition from the record keepers at Guinness.

Rabb has traveled worldwide conducting countless clinics and masterclasses including the Montreal Drumfest, PASIC, Musik Messe, Meinl Drum Festival, Drummer Fest (Belgium) and the Ultimate Drummer’s Weekend, to name a few. He has also instructed at world reknown drum camps, including KOSA and RHYTHM (Bavarian Music Academy). As a product specialist for Roland V-DRUMS, Rabb performs over 70 international clinic dates per year.

As an educational author, Johnny released The Official Freehand Technique Book/CD. He was also voted #1 Best Educational Author by Modern Drummer’s Readers Poll for his book Jungle Drum ‘N’ Bass for the Acoustic Drum Set.

As an inventor, Rabb has designed and developed a number of different percussion related items, including a signature stick (TX731W) for Pro-Mark drumsticks, and several Generation X series cymbals for Meinl — Drumbals and Safari cymbals. He is also the founder of his own Johnny Rabb drumstick company (f/k/a johnnyraBB Drumstick Company) and continues to create new sounds and innovations for his unique concepts on the drums. 

In 2006, Rabb and Clay Parnell formed the band BioDiesel, described as "environmentally friendly Intelligent Dance Music".

Rabb is the drummer for U.S.S.A., a rock n' roll collaboration with bassist/programmer/producer Paul Barker, guitarist/composer Duane Denison, and lead singer Gary Call. Rabb formed the duo DrumJockeys with percussionist Chris Patterson (DJ Krushar) performing drum n' bass and acid jazz. Rabb also plays in Magnetic Lobster with friend Marco Minnemann.

In 2012, Johnny Rabb took over the drum chair with Collective Soul; his first live performances with the band was during their Dosage Tour, May - July 2012. His debut studio album with Collective Soul, See What You Started by Continuing, was released on October 2, 2015.
