13 inch snare

Bart, someone raised an interesting question. Do you know if anyone makes a 42 strand snare for a 13 inch snare drum? If so, how do you think it would sound?

I personally have never seen a 42-strand snare wire set for a 13 inch snare drum. Personally, I just wouldn't think it would sound very good on a 13 inch diameter drum.

I have contacted the  http://precisiondrum.com]Precision Drum Co.  to see if they might have any leads for you. To my knowledge, Precision Drum does not stock this item. The supply drum parts to the masses and have been in business for over 40 years. If it's out there ... these people will know!
