Ear protection

I really need to protect my ears during rehearsals and gigs, I don't want to go deaf. Know of any equipment (if it's affordable it's even better  ;)) that would reduce the volume coming to your ear but still allow you to hear good what you and the other musicians are playing? I saw some headphones made by Vic Firth (no cord) but I haven't tried them yet. Any suggestions?

Check out this thread, thats how i found out about the er-15's  they're the best things i ever spent money on, i'm tellin ya this is the way to go!
