Title: rotator cuff surgery not as bad as you think
Post by: Hank Gagnon on October 17, 2011, 11:17 PM
those drummers who are having rotator cuff problems and are putting off surgery, get it done. the longer you avoid it , the more it can fray and in some cases not be repairable. i had mine repaired mid august and 4 weeks later i was cleared to play. however, i used a practice pad for 2 weeks  then played on my kit. adjust your cymbals  a little closer so your shoulder doesn't strain , you're good to play. rehab told me that those that cheat a little concerning arm movement  tend to recover better.
