I am now playing with the Irene Bedard and Deni band:

Irene is best known as the voice and physical likeness of Disney's Pocahontas, plus a slew of movies.

Her husband Deni is Denny Wilson a guy who I played, recorded and toured with in the late '80's in a tuba rock and roll band called Tooba Blooze.

Aside from shows around town, there is an upcoming album and they are hitting the road for the summer to play pow wows and festivals. While I won't be quitting the day job (vidoegrapher/editor) I certainly will be joining them for long weekends out of town.

Its pretty slamming. Just bass and drums and 2 amazing front persons.
The cool thing is we are old friends with a huge admiration for each other's musicianship. And they are just the nicest people you'd ever want to meet.
Our first gig is Saturday before drunken St. Patties Day revelers
So...
Wish me luck.

Very cool. I listened to a few songs from their myspace page and....... I like it.  I wasn't sure at first but it grew on me pretty quickly.  It's a very interesting combination of styles.  Good luck and have a lot of fun.

Can't find a calendar of dates.  Do you know if you'll be doing any shows in the SF Bay Area? I've got two daughters that can sing every line from Disney's Pocahontas (in their 20s now and can sign just about every Disney song between Little Mermaid and Mulan) that may want to join me.

Itinerary is not firmed up yet, but I'll find out and get wit ya.
