If you really want to impress the audience, pull out your 'third' stick and bash the toms with it while you roll on the cimbals...  ;D

Reminds me of that scene in Slap Shot, at the fashion show.....

"....Everybody, with the exception of my wife, will be running for the exits!"

Twirling your sticks, standing on your throne, jumping over your set or playing on fire is not the way to pure showmanship.

If you play from your heart.... and not your head..... the show will appear.  Keepin' it Real.....  Peace 8)

all you really need is a smile. it changes everything.   ;D

One of my favorite things to see is of course stick control (spinning ect.) and one other thing that is rare indeed! Eye contact! I know it's difficult if you're on the back of the stage hidden behind your kit, but a little one on one with the audience means a lot to those that get it and if you can add a smile to that while you're playing your best, you've won that person or those persons over for life!
