A cowbell?  How in the world do you live that way Pops?  Only one cowbell?  I guess life if rough for some people. ;D

I figured that would qualify me for the cowbell section of this thread.  Guess I'll have to go out and get a a bunch of cowbells.  ;D

Then I can play 'til the cows come home  :o

I just thought of a couple of cool drum intros.

In the simple but perfect category, Neil Peart's intro to Rush's "YYZ," on th freakin triangle!!  Like him or not, the guy's a genious.

Now, a little more complicated, but playable:  The intro to "American Band" by Grand Funk Railroad.  this whole song kicks @$$!   :)

Walk In The Shadows (Scott Rockenfield)
Send Me Your Money (Suicidal Tendancies)
Wild Side (Tommy Lee)

Did anybody mention Stargazer from Rainbow? ;D
Cozy Powell's never been shy...
Not really my alltime fave but one that got to be mentioned.

Oh I LOVE Cozy...especially his playing on the live "Rainbow" album with Ronnie James Dio singing.

He played "Mistreated" and "16th Century Greensleeves" so well.  Love that recording

Dream Theater's 6:00.

It's the first thing you hear when you put the album Awake on.

Portnoy rocks.

I don't have "intros" as such (unless you count the opening of Brahms Symphony 1) but I have some thrilling solos and breaks....do they count?

If they do, I could post them.

Kind regards,

Kind regards,

Davidian by Machine Head,
so much energy in that one, blows your head away.

Around The Fur by Deftones, makes you stand on your toes...
