I am very saddened to report the passing of Drummer Cafe member and friend, Alphonse Mouzon, who died yesterday, December 25, having lost his battle with Neuroendocrine Carcinoma cancer.

tx bart. i got an email from not so modern drummer in that he needed financial help as well. just a quick note- his daughter commented on yahoo news that he passed on xmas day, but either one bad, bad, bad. back in the day before facebook my space was the social network and i hooked up w/ him there! what a tremendous giving and nice person! also came up the line w/ his music! very influential...rip
