DVD: Miles Davis Quintet 'Europe 1967'.

Wayne Shorter
Ron Carter
Herbie Hancock
Tony Williams

Wow, wow, wow.... it's in black and white but it doesn't matter, the band is fantastic, and Tony is on fire.

At points the film super imposes close ups of Williams' hands across Shorter blowing sax, you get to see Tony's explosive reactions to Wayne's improvations, his ride cymbal work is just amazing.

Miles is so self-composed, so total cool. He solos, strolls off to the side, watching his boys take it. You can tell how much pride he has in this band. They all are so young, it's a look back in time.

There are two preformances; one in Stockholm, Sweden, the other in Karisruthe, Germany. The same set list is played both times.

If you like jazz, I highly recommend this DVD.
