Greetings. I am wondering if anyone here is making their own instruments?

I make Ashiko drums and Kete Drums. Kete Drums are one of the traditional Nyabinghi Drums. They are most often used by Reggae artists, but they sound similar to High, light, metalic congas, or large Bongos. Here is a couple of pictures of the latest, also check out the tutorial that I made for building them... it is found on the Dubroom

This isn't really an instrument that you have to make, but my percussion instructor brought this up in class.  Using an empty bottle(beer, soda, etc.) You have to clean it and take off the label, but you can get a noce range of sounds out of just one bottle, and you can use different sizes and make a "choir" of bottles if you'd like to experiment with it.
