Vocal cues.....bad habit?

What if the vocalist is wrong? Does the band follow the vocalist?

........ half the band followed the vocalist while the rest of the band stuck to the chart.    ..... a complete train wreck.

Those are always fun.  :P

Hopefully a well rehearsed group can get through those episodes with only a small degree of "wtf faces".   :o :-X :-\ :'( etc.

I think I may have just struck upon the key:  Be well-rehearsed.  For those situations when one cannot be well-rehearsed, well I guess we get what we pay for.

I've been known to make myself simple charts when with a new group. Then I memorize the songs. After that, I sleep with my ears and one eye open. 
Works for me! ;D
