This is cool. I was contacted last week by the University of Oregon. It seems with the PAC-10 scheduling both women's and men's basketball tournaments during the same week, it spreads the UO basketball band a bit thin.  If the men win their first game Wednesday night the band is short a drummer since both men and womens teams will play Thursday night (at different arenas). 

So... if the men win, they are flying me to LA to play one of Thursday night's games... then flying me back Friday in time for my soul band's Friday night gig. I'm not sure, but this might qualify me as a rock star. (or ... well, probably not.)

So, Oregon needs to beat Washington State Wednesday night. GO YOU FRIGGIN' DUCKS!
