Hello guys!
I uploaded on Youtube a recent cover... it's a part of a larger project that i want to do with my band mates!

I want to know if you like how the drum's sound and if/how I can improve it!
I don't like the sound of the bass drum and I don't know how to improve it!
I used to record the drums a kit of Samson's microphones and Cubase 5.

Any advice on the sound or the playing are welcome!

Hey, welcome aboard!  I enjoyed your performance!

Unfortunately, I'm listening through my computer speakers right now and I'm not getting a good representation of the drum sound.  I'm sure somebody here will have some input.

I don't hear any attack in the bass drum; it has a muffled "woof" sound to it that doesn't cut through the mix.  You can try different EQ settings, usually in the 2kHz to 10kHz frequency range for more attack.  I wouldn't make any major swings in the EQ settings, though.  You also might want to try tuning the bass drum reso head a little higher and listen to how it affects the recorded sound.  Lastly, mic placement is super important.  Try all sorts of placements, recording each one until you find one or more that sound good to you.

Just watched the split screen cover. Very nice drumming and much better definition on the bass drum than in the first video!

One thing I noticed, though, is that between 1:03 and 1:10 you guys came out of the pocket slightly, but that happens to everyone from time to time. Overall it sounded great!
