Eric Kretz, born June 7, 1966 in San Jose, California, is an American drummer musician and producer, best known for playing drums with the rock band, Stone Temple Pilots (1985–2002, 2008-present). Kretz has also played drums for Talk Show and Spiralarms.

Eric Kretz currently owns and operates Bomb Shelter Studios in Los Angeles, CA. He has engineered and mixed live recordings for the likes of Death Cab for Cutie, Ben Harper, Jurassic 5, Damian Marley, Slayer, Thom Yorke and others.
