Brian Abrahams, born June 26, 1947 in Cape Town, South Africa, is a jazz drummer and vocalist.
Throughout the '70s, Abrahams has worked with the likes of Sarah Vaughan, Nancy Wilson, Abdullah Ibrahim, Dudu Pukwana, Ronnie Scott, John Taylor, Johnny Dyani, Brotherhood of Breath, Jim Pepper, Dewey Redman, Mal Waldron, Archie Shepp, and Courtney Pine.
In the '80s Abrahams founded his own group, District Six, and joined Abdullah Ibrahim's band, Ekaya, in 1988. He also worked on a number of projects with Tony Haynes.
