Zak Starkey

Zak Starkey, born Zak Richard Starkey on September 13, 1965 in Hammersmith, London, England is an English rock drummer, best known as the son of The Beatles drummer, Ringo Starr.

Zak has worked with the likes of ASAP, John Entwistle, The Lightning Seeds, Johnny Marr, The Waterboys, Paul Weller and The Icicle Works. He is an unofficial member and drummer for the English rock band, The Who, appearing with the band for major event performances such as the Super Bowl XLIV half time show (2010), the 2012 London Summer Olympic Games, as well as recording with the band since 1996.

In 2008, Starkey formed the band Penguinsrising (f/k/a Pengu!ns).
