Bart Elliott interviews Roy Burns at the 2008 Summer NAMM Show DrummerCafé.TV (DCTV), the latest entrée addition to the Drummer Café, has steadily grown to over 600 unique viewers per week since its inception in February of this year. The current broadcast of DCTV includes Bart Elliott’s report on the 2008 Summer NAMM Show with news and reviews from Yamaha Drums, Ludwig Drums, Aquarian Drumheads, Peterson Tuners and others. There’s also an exclusive interview (over 25-minutes) with legendary drummer, educator, clinician and manufacturer Roy Burns, who was recently selected for induction into the Percussive Arts Society (PAS) Hall of Fame. To top off this already fantastic episode, Bart Elliott gives a 15-minute in depth video lesson on the infamous linear groove from The Meters 1969 R&B hit, “Cissy Strut”.

Previous DCTV episodes, now archived, include over 3 hours of footage from the 18th Annual Chicago Drum Show. Included are interviews with William F. Ludwig III, Jon “Bermuda” Schwartz, Joyful Noise Drum Company, Vaughncraft Percussion and many others, plus performances by clinicians such as Bob Moses, Carmine Appice, Cindy Blackman and Billy Ward.

DrummerCafé.TV continues to exceed the expectations of its viewers, pushing well beyond 60-minutes of unique, exclusive, quality content in each weekly episode.
